Well, today is the official launch day for this website. There is so much happening within the cosmos that I was not consciously aware of when I intuitively picked today at my deadline. The timing has been nothing short of divine. Spirit knows best.
I wanted to write a bit about it to document my journey and what I am learning along the way. This is by no means the entirety of what is happening in the universe, but a few themes relevant to my project becoming official that I feel are important for others to know, too. I hope you take something out of this!
Today is the Snow Moon in Leo. I prefer the title Bear Moon given by various indigenous tribes to symbolize the period of winter when bear cubs are born. Bears hold a very special place in my heart in connection to my spirit. They are symbols of leadership, courage, protection, strength, and wisdom. It seems more fitting to my own personal journey to honor the animal that braves the harshest time of year while creating new life rather than focusing on the falling of snow.
What does being in Leo mean for this moon?
I am no astrologer by any means, but I can share what it means to me. Maybe it will resonate in your soul, too.
This moon is about integrating the lessons our hardships have taught us and stepping forward with confidence in who we have become. Leo is a fiery, passionate sign in the zodiac that is not afraid or ashamed to make noise and take up space. The world is but a stage, and Leo knows stages are meant to help us shine. It's time to become the star of your own life and learn how to roar. You are the main character of your very own movie! Remember who you are Simba.

I had a realization a few days ago as I was putting the finishing touches on my website, feeling the excitement about coming out to play in such a massive way. The world has never taken me or my dreams seriously because I have not been taking either of those things seriously. I have continued to play small, hide myself away, move the goal posts, and make up excuses as to why I haven't made progress the way I want to.
Sure, baby steps are still progress. You have to learn how to crawl before you can walk and walk before you can run, right? At some point, you have to believe and trust in yourself enough to know that when you take a running leap over the cliff, you know how to fly. You can run in circles, or you can choose to have faith over fear.
This is my leap of faith. I am setting my intentions for the future with this website and blog and amplifying its power with the energy of the full moon. Full moons in general are powerful times to set your intentions. Just remember to follow through. Manifestation comes with aligned action.
If you want your dreams to become reality, you have to actively work towards creating them. Spirit, the universe, creator, God—whatever it is you want to call it because it is all the same and is a part of you—wants to help you achieve the life of your wildest dreams, but you are the missing piece. You are the divine co-creator that will unlock those doors. If you're afraid of failing or embarrassing yourself like I once was, think of it like a scavenger hunt where your experiences are the locations where you will find those hidden keys. Maybe you just need to look at it all from a new perspective to see them?

This full moon is taking place on Imbolc.
Imbolc is a Celtic holiday marking the halfway point between winter and spring. It represents the renewal of life after the death of winter, marking the return of light after darkness. Like the full moon, intention setting, planting seeds, and cleansing are good practices to incorporate on this day.
The holiday is a festive time meant to honor the Irish triple goddess Brigid, known for presiding over poetry, healing, and smithcraft. I personally find this another fascinating connection to the launch of my project as I am a poet. I intend to heal with this project. I am becoming more skilled in my craft and what I create.
There are many other aspects of myself I could connect to Brigid because we are one in the same existing as two, but I won't go down that rabbit hole right now. I don't worship any deities because I see us on equal playing fields, but perhaps launching today and writing about her now is a way to honor the path she walked before me and thank her for her contribution.
This is the final full moon of the year of the wood snake.
I don't know about your personal journey over the last year, but mine has been all about nurturing myself, deep transformation, and figuring out what I am taking with me moving forward versus what I am leaving behind. These are all qualities of the wood snake.

Snakes are misunderstood creatures with so much wisdom to share. Connecting to snake energy shows us the underworld of our souls that we often keep hidden in the dark because it scares us to face it. This is a space we must learn to traverse if we want to heal and grow as people.
In the lunar zodiac, the snake is about wisdom, charm, and growth. They are potent symbols of rebirth and new beginnings as they shed their skin. The snake encourages us to adapt as we grow. Add in the element of wood, it amplifies the ability to adapt and encourages us to become warm, compassionate beings. If you are thinking, "But Autumn, snakes are cold blooded," you are correct. However, reptiles are the ones that need warmth in their lives the most. If you know, you know.
I have lived a lot of my life struggling with starting things that I never finish. With the launch of my website, I am shedding that old skin. I am shedding the belief that I can't accomplish my dreams. I recognize that every failure, rejection, and betrayal I experienced along the way was just helping me shed away the metaphorical dead skin of my life that does not fit the future version of me I am becoming.
Some people, places, and things are not meant to be in our lives forever, and that is okay. No hard feelings, just love for the joy and the pain because all of it made me who I am in this present moment. I am grateful to not be stuck in the same old patterns day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year like before.
If you thought a year of shedding was intense, buckle up because the fire horse is going to take us on a wild ride.
The year of the fire horse is upon us. It begins on February 17th. This next year is going to be a time of rapid expansion and forward motion. We have been building stamina for some time now, and the fire horse is going to be an explosion of energy right out of the gate. I know you have felt the energy building while we incubated under the energy of the snake. The wood has kindled the fire. I know you feel it catching, ready to move. I see people talking online and hear them in person, not even releasing they are being spiritually activated by the chaos surfacing. We see what does not serve us. Now what are we going to do about it?
Horses represent freedom, speed, and hard work. They are also gentle, intuitive creatures behind all of their power. They value social connection while remaining independent. The energy of the fire horse taking over the next year invites us to move forward with our ideas and passions in bold, fearless ways.
The quick-thinking, strong-will of the horse mixed with the element of fire can be volatile, leading to major conflict. It is important to incorporate the gentle nature of the horse and consider the impact our choices have on the people and world around us. Fire can be a powerful tool used to enrich environments, but when it is allowed to burn uncontrolled, it leaves devastation in its wake. Don't play with fire, or you will get burned.
When I feel the power of fire inside of me, I remind myself that there is water in fire. I remind it to flow calmly and emotionally ground myself. Rage can be a sacred act, but ask yourself where is it placed? How is it utilized? Are we cleansing with fire to add value, or are we destroying with it? The choice is ours to make. What are we moving towards?

This coming year is going to be a powerful year. We are already seeing it within the collective, but I know it will be an expansive year for my own personal life as I intend to step into a leadership role starting with the launch of this website. I just want to acknowledge how far I have come since I began this journey of healing and self-discovery. I am so proud of myself and the person I am becoming every single day. It was not easy, just as what is happening within the collective is not easy. Many things that are worthwhile seldomly are.
I know how uncertain life can be, but it is important to maintain hope and determination. Don't be afraid. Be brave. Remember to rest, don't get burned out. The work happening beneath the surface is the hardest job you will ever have. Inner work has to happen before it reflects in the outer world. Just because we are not seeing the fruits yet does not mean the seeds planted are not growing within the darkness, waiting to burst forth into the light.
It has taken me two years for my personal hard, inner work to reflect within the outside world. It appeared as if everything was falling apart into chaos with no way out in sight, but with time the path forward became clear. I have faith in humanity, and you should, too. What we believe will become our reality. I believe humanity is on the precipice of liberation. We are evolving, and these are our growing pains.
What do you believe?
Remember to be curious, question everything.
Most of all, stay sweet honeybee.
Sting where it counts.
