Healing is gardening for the mind.

Gardening is a skill that helps reconnect us to the natural world in our fast-paced lives ruled by technology. I think about how the things we call advancements sometimes overwhelm us and hold us back from seeing life on a deeper level. It wasn't until I began my shamanic journey that the layers of trauma began peeling away to reveal new layers of reality and who I truly am underneath it all.
In shamanism, nature is our greatest source of wisdom, guiding and nurturing us. I call my personal healing modality "mind gardening."
Let me share my wisdom with you.
My life began as a seed, planted in barren soil where hardly anything grew. In my mind, it was dark and cold. I couldn't see anything but the ground closing in on me. I thought that was all there was.
The truth is, much like the seed of a plant, I was never meant to stay in that dark place. The darkness was just my container for growth. I just needed some good TLC.
Growing something in a garden doesn't happen overnight, right?
If I wanted my life to be different, it was time to get my hands dirty. I dug around in the dirt to find my roots—the trauma that had shaped my life since childhood, much of which had remained hidden within my subconscious mind. I had to face the diseased parts of me preventing my expansion into something more abundant.
Without finding the damage, how could I have removed it before it killed me?
It hurt. I cried... a lot. Don't you have to water a flower for it to grow?
My tears became my medicine.
I gave myself space and permission to let my emotions flow without shame or judgment. Life had been hard. Life was hard. It was okay to feel the grief. I was finally safe and didn't have to be afraid anymore. It was time to dig it all up, so I could let it all go to make room for something new.
I planted new seeds, believing life doesn't have to be this heavy thing I carry but an experience that is always in motion. I patiently waited for something to change.
On the surface, it didn't look like much was happening. My life was still a mess. I still didn't understand how I could change my life. Underneath, without the sick roots sucking the life from me, the healthy parts of me were expanding.
One day, I broke through the barrier of dark earth into the warm rays of sunshine. The growth I was experiencing within began to show in my outer world. I started to understand what I wanted to do—who I was meant to become. But I wasn't done yet.
I was still just a sprout in the world.
I continued to pour into myself as I climbed towards the sky because I discovered grief is just love without a home. I gave it a new home within myself. Before I knew it, a bud formed, just waiting to reveal to the world the beauty hidden inside.
I am the bud opening up. Electric Honeypot is me beginning to bloom. It hasn't reached full potential yet, but this project is the culmination of this long hero's journey I have been on coming back home to myself, my inner child.

Gardening my life has been messy, hard labor both physically and mentally. It has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done for myself. Seeing my blood, sweat, and tears now bearing fruits has restored my hope. I have come so far. Why couldn't I go further? I have learned I can create anything I put my mind to with time and effort. I have faith in my ability to live the life of my wildest dreams.
Life is but a dream. I want it to sweet, not a nightmare.
Like an abandoned house reclaimed by nature, I am both the house returning to Earth and the plants growing through the cracks. It all began with someone showing me the power of plants—metaphorically and literally.
I kept going because others reminded me good things take time. They were gardeners, too. They gave me new seeds and tools the more I shared my new hobby. The more I shared my personal journey, the more others shared with me. I gained new insights, new ideas, new perspectives.
Every person I have ever met has played a part in me mastering my craft. I am inspired by humanity and all of our potential.
I want my life to be a community garden.
Where bees and butterflies thrive.
Where everyone feels welcome to visit and share their gardening tips.
Where we share in our abundant harvest, and no one has to go hungry ever again.

I want to know your story of becoming a flower.
How did you tend to your roots?
How do you enrich your soil?
How do you mitigate pests?
How are you growing?
What is blossoming?
What have you learned?
The most important thing I have learned about human suffering in this life is that beautiful things can grow out of dark spaces with time, love, and care. Even the weeds have something to offer.
No one can force you to tend to your own garden and learn to grow, but you don't have to do it alone if you do want to start. We can dig through the dirt and plant seeds together.
So many of us want to change the world, but we feel powerless. We miss the most important step to creating real, lasting change—recognizing just how powerful we are.
Change yourself, change the world.
Let's restore the garden of Eden, our beautiful Mother Gaia, by planting one seed at a time.

At the very beginning of my hardest work in the garden, I began hearing poetry channeled through my mind as I was meditating to sleep. This is a gift of mine that has only grown stronger the more I write, create, and share. I know I am meant to share my gifts with the world.
The name is a reference to a moment at a music festival shortly after my first Mother's Day without my mom. I quit my job on Mother's Day after a series of unusual experiences I fully believe were my mom(the universe) guiding me to quit. Without a job, I volunteered to clean up trash at this festival where I started to understand the energetic connection of life deeper than ever before while dressed as a cosmic alicorn.
This will be one of the many stories of magic on earth you will be able to read within my book coming soon.
I hope you enjoy.
"Space Pegasus"
a poem
Her mind is a garden
by her own design.
Roses, jasmine, lavender—even dandelion.
She is a unicorn—beautiful and rare.
Often misunderstood.
Still,
people love to stare.
She unfolds her wings;
it's her time to fly.
Held back by nothing—or no one.
She looks to the sky.
Life is a blessing—free and sublime.
She's a master of magic,
bender of space time.
Bee curious, question everything.
Stay sweet honeybee.
Sting when it counts.
