Spiritually Bypassing the Problems

I have been a spiritual person ever since my first DMT breakthrough in March of 2022. I have not always practiced and nourished my spiritually, but it has been a part of me. When my spiritual awakening deepened through full surrender, sobriety, and processing decades worth of trauma stored within, my spirituality became the entire essence of my being.
I would be lying if I said I didn't initially fall into the illusions of ego during this intense period. I even found myself listening to and following the illusions of others' egos. At times. I saw myself as above worldly problems because I understood this reality is a simulation, a dream taking place within the mind of the godhead. The universe is mental. We are creating our own realities by what we focus our time and attention on.
By this logic, it is commonplace within New Age spiritual communities to ignore the problems of the world. I have seen many use eloquent words to imply the chaos of abusive systems and the struggles of others are beneath them, too negative for them to spend energy on acknowledging. Self-proclaimed enlightened beings saying they observe without getting involved because the work they are doing is "so much deeper." Meanwhile, they are so "empowered" that they have to seek validation from the herds of other self-proclaimed enlightened beings to coddle their ego, telling them they are on the right path by not participating.
Here's the truth.
You are a spirit at your core, but you are here to have a human experience. Using your spirituality to bypass human problems does not make you enlightened. It is your ego playing tricks on your mind to keep you comfortable with blinders on as the world around you burns, waiting your turn to burn to a crisp, too. You are telling yourself what you want to hear to make yourself feel special and above the world while you are currently living within it.
It does not matter what story you tell yourself to separate yourself from what is happening. There is no such thing as not participating. Avoidance is participation. As long as you exist here in the 3D as a human being, you are a participant in the grand play that is life.
While you are busy placing yourself on a pedestal above everyone else, you can't even see that you are choosing the role as a background character that adds very little value to the overall performance. You may sing and dance, bring fleeting smiles to those around you for a short while, but those are just small embellishments on a much larger show. Once the song stops, there is still a storyline affecting every single character, including you. The choices of each character determine how it ends. You claim to see the bigger picture while focusing solely on the background found within your own little bubble.
The world does not need more spiritual "leaders" that actively avoid and ignore shadow work because they believe the falsehood that this experience is all about light. Light has to integrate and work with darkness to contain and heal it. We all have a shadow because light does not exist without darkness. It is about finding balance between the two to become whole, not pretending like you don't have one while it grows from your neglect.
I have noticed how spiritual communities are no different from any other dogmatic group they claim to separate themselves from. These so-called awakened beings aren't even awakened to their own egos and herd mentality supporting avoidance as "protecting peace" the same way abuse victims and flying monkeys keep their mouths shut to avoid confrontation that makes them feel uncomfortable and risks disrupting the systems in place. Nothing changes without discomfort and confrontation. The oppression continues while these groups call themselves light workers ushering in a better world through inaction.
Yeshua flipped tables and rebelled against oppression. He didn't sit back idly as religious institution and government control manipulated the masses. He risked his life because he knew his purpose was greater. If you call yourself awakened and still see what is happening as being about politics, I question the validity of your claim. This is about the spiritual liberation of humanity.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna is taught about surrendering to righteous action. To cultivate true inner peace and freedom from the dualities of this world, his focus must be on his efforts, not the rewards or outcome. He is to be a spiritual warrior, allowing the divine to work through him on the battlefield. Neither pain nor pleasure, success nor failure, life nor death are worries when action is taken from a place of higher spiritual purpose rather than a place of personal gain. It is about understanding the distinction between the true self and the temporary physical self and acting from a place of duty, devotion, and wisdom rather than preservation of the avatar.
Unconditional love is recognizing that God exists within all beings and actions. While you think you have a deeper purpose through avoidance, a person that commits murder has a purpose just as deep as yours even it comes from ego. The same spirit responsible for your existence works through that person, too. Your avoidance has even inspired me to write this piece to encourage others to open their eyes and unite in action. Spirit works in mysterious ways as the divine blueprint sparks light through darkness.
My mother's murder is what gave me the courage to go no contact with her side of the family. I struggled for a while, but ultimately it is what led to my healing. It allowed me to see the patterns and learn to love and trust myself. Her murder is how I began to notice the spiritual world coexisting with this physical world. The abuse I have endured and the lack of concern to investigate by the police has helped me find my voice. It has now given me purpose by wanting to give voices to others experiencing injustice that are ignored and silenced by the same systems that claim to care. I use my story not to highlight my own suffering, but to call attention to issues affecting many that need to be addressed. My pain is my power.
While I would love to see justice in my mom's case, it isn't just about me. It is ultimately about illuminating the truth of how these systems create more harm than they do good, so we can work towards finding solutions together. I can not solve the world's problems on my own. By speaking up, it is a call to action within the collective.
I didn't ask to become an advocate. I didn't ask to play detective. I didn't ask to know what it was like to lose someone in such a horrific way. It is uncomfortable and painful, yet it is empowering because I know I am playing a part in something much greater than just myself. My story isn't just about me. It is about humanity and seeing myself in every single person that is causing pain because they are hurt. In every person ignoring pain because they are uncomfortable. Every person hurting because they are being mistreated. I have a responsibility to care about the world and her people as a human being.
The problems don't just disappear if I ignore them. They grow. I could be comfortable one moment, and then next the problems affect me because I didn't address them sooner. Now they are bigger than they would have been if I hadn't kept looking the other way, pretending they don't exist. I just ignored them because they didn't affect [your name]. I didn't realize that by affecting everyone else, they were affecting me. I just couldn't see it yet. My avoidance had a negative consequence for the collective that could have been shifted if I took the time to care.
The avatar of Autumn did not choose any of this. Spirit chose it and came here to play out this storyline through this character. God works through each and every one of us, even through the people the spiritual community wants to mark as beneath them for not being "awake." To be honest, I find more profound, divine wisdom coming from the mouths of those I know are not fully aware of who they are on a spiritual level yet than from those that claim they do. Why?
The spiritual community has mistaken ego for spirit.
They aren't grounded. Their heads exist up in the clouds where their view is obscured by a veil no different from the one that prevents people from knowing spirit. They claim to be present in the moment while failing to understand how the actions or lack of in the present will determine the timeline that plays out for our planet.
I recently reflected this back to a user posting anonymously in a spirituality group. They asked the group how other awakened beings handle being told they don't care by non-awakened beings because they don't get involved in what is happening politically. They claimed their purpose is deeper because they own a dance studio where "worries melt like lemon drops." They hoped they wouldn't attract non-awakened beings on their post.
The comments were mostly people praising and agreeing with them, calling them an observer. Well, I am an observer of the world, too. Where we differ, I observe to take aligned action with purpose. I am not reacting; I am responding from a place of wisdom and higher perspective through my observations.
I attend music festivals where "worries melt like lemon drops," and guess what? Nothing has changed when they're done and over with. People go home longing for the same feelings they felt at the festival because the things that make festivals so beautiful—community, bartering, communion with nature, communion with spirit through song and dance, tolerance, acceptance, creativity, play, and flow-state—are not integrated on larger scales when we return to society. It is a temporary way of living that reconnects us to our nomadic, tribal roots of the past and helps us feel home again, but then we just come right back to the cycle of the rat race where we are miserable. We accept it as our reality.
Running a dance studio is wonderful thing, but providing an escape means nothing when we aren't working towards finding solutions to the things we are escaping. It is a band aid. It is the equivalent of using a drug to cope with reality, something I did for a very long time before I began to integrate my experiences to become who I am today. I want more solutions, not escapes. I know other realities exist, and we can choose a new one at any point by finally paying attention to what is happening in this one right now.
What I had to say challenged this person's ego which I knew it would. Most people that need to hide behind anonymity are announcing their fragile ego to the world. It was a clear trigger as the response I received was that I am the only person to think this, and it is my problem. The irony of not realizing their insecurities and fragile ego is their problem, and the systemic problems or the world are our problem.
I'll let you in on a little secret I have learned throughout the trials of my shamanic awakening. Truly empowered, awakened beings do not need the validation of the herd to act in accordance to spirit's divine will. They do not doubt the purpose of what they do. They do not make themselves small or stay quiet to coddle someone else's ego. They shine light into dark corners where others can't see even if they stand alone or face opposition. They know they are never really alone because spirit is guiding their every step.
Yeshua spoke of the opposition just as he warned about false leaders and the impact of neglect on our spiritual inheritance throughout his teachings.
John 15: 18-21
The World Hates the Disciples
18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me."
Are your actions in alignment with karma or dharma? Ego enjoys a good masquerade. Who's really under the mask? If they came here to play, why do they have to hide? You can't cheat the game that wrote your programming. You can play your part in the main storyline, so the one truly holding the controller can achieve something great. Or you can go rogue solely focused on side quests without ever making progress towards the main goal and point of starting the game at all.
Do we really want to have to reset the game from the beginning again, or can we actually beat the game this time?
Remember to be curious, question everything.
Most of all, stay sweet honeybee.
Sting where it counts.
